I currently work mon-fri, 9:30-1:30 but my actual contract is 12:00-4:00 & I have never signed for this new shift as is was just temp for childcare but I have been working this shift for over a year & half. I work in retail so having this type of shift it rare but recently my company has started to recruit on a 5-7 shift which means you have to work some weekends. The word has gotten out that they are going to make all of the current staff change contracts to the 5-7. I would not be able to this due to being a single parent and not have the most reliable ex. Can my company do this?
