Can someone help me work out first paycheck?

First day was 10 June. Pay day is monthly salary on 26 of the month in equal installments in arrears.

They offered Thursday and said if I signed by Friday I would be included in this months pay.

It says if you start after 10th of the month the portion of the month that you have worked will be paid the following month.

Am I correct then in thinking I will be paid for 11 working days on 26 June and my first full salary on 26 July?

if they have included you in this months payroll you are correct.

I think you’ll get paid more. In my experience of companies that pay near the end of the month (at least 5 now) they’re paying you for that month so I’d expect a salary for working days between the 10th and the 30th, paid on the 24th as 26th is a Sunday. And you’d usually be better off for tax proportionally as well due to the reduced amount of pay. Then first full salary on the 26th July. As long as you made payroll. Which seems tight if you only started on the 10th.

I did make payroll, they said if I signed by 10th I would be included. Payday was down about £200 from where I think it should be post tax and NI (no other deductions yet), so pretty much full. I was worried it might be significantly lower and I’d have to be careful this month, but it’s fine.
