Hi. I’ve had an interview for a part time NHS job 20 hours a week. If I’m successful I will be starting in a few weeks. I have a two week holiday booked in Aug and concerned I will be using most of my holiday allowance as soon as I start. Assuming they can’t push back my start date, am I within my rights to ask for that holiday to be unpaid so I can save the my annual leave allowance for the rest of the year? Anyone had a similar issue? They can be flexible on when I do my hours so I could try condense hours when I need other time off but that’s not ideal.
