Husbands business

I need to major advice regarding my husbands business.
◦ Started business in feb 2020 - 1 month before covid, covid hit and he had no work till July 2020 put a massive strain on us financially and was pregnant.
◦ Got back on our feet slowly come July 2020 as worked picked up and he got regular work. - made profit first year
◦ August 2021 my brother finished college and wanted to do an apprenticeship so he done him a favour and took him on. Despite our concerns of funds he decided to take him on.
◦ If my husband didn’t work then we would have no income from his side or to pay my brother. So if he didn’t have work we still legally had to pay the my brother which again was a bit of a struggle.
◦ Come 2022 and we are struggling so much barley making ends meet, the work is there just we are clearly going wrong somewhere as we are struggling to pay every bill that comes in with the income not being regular and filters in drips and dabs we miss bills and now are in debt. My husband is in the trade world and got a lot of store credit out with various companies to get the materials to do the work and now we owe that debt… we have decided to let my brother go as we cannot afford to pay him let alone our bills at the moment and with the increase in gas, eletric and nursery fees I don’t know what more we can do..
◦ I work part time but 36 hours a week from home to keep nursery costs down come September I do go bakc on maternity leave as currently pregnant with baby no 2
◦ I just don’t know what to do anymore, it was my husbands passion to have his own busienss and it’s just not going to plan I bit the bullet tonight and told him he needs to get a permanent full time job so we have regular income but I know he won’t look and wants to put his all in the business.
◦ We can hardly pay our rent which is due to increase in September. We are in debt (I have seeked advice, he’s in profit for this year) just feel bad and stressed to the nines! Any advice?

Could he look into finding a business mentor? There are some charities and organisations where people with lots of business experience volunteer and help people who are just getting started. So many new businesses go under, when some decent advice at the right time might help out.
