Anyone else struggling with work and pregnancy?

Hey,

I was hoping to get a bit of advice!

Ill be 21 weeks pregnant next week and have been asking for a risk assessment for at least the past 10 weeks. I have some concerns that I believe are risks which I raised when I was around 10 weeks pregnant if not before. After hearing nothing initially, I sent a letter when I was 12 weeks pregnant confirming I was pregnant in writing and setting out when I wanted my leave and that I believe I was eligible for SMP. But I never heard anything back to this.

Ive sent email after email and heard nothing. However, at the start of this week, my employer simply emailed to say they had started it. I’ve since emailed asking for a date to sit down and have a meeting a few times, but nothing. I’ve also emailed to ask for their reply to my letter in writing as this was meant to be done with 28 days of the letter being sent. Again, nothing.

Can I keep pushing this? Sometimes I feel I’m being silly. But I’m bored of fighting for something I have a right to.

To note, there is no HR or anyone higher that I can speak to. The person I am attempting to arrange with is the head of the company. It is a small company!

Are you both physically in work? Can you just knock on their door or go over to their desk if it’s a small team? It’s harder to ignore a person than an email. I would just keep reminding them every day that you need a risk assessment, they have a duty of care to put these things in place it’s not optional for them just because it’s a small business.

Unfortunately, they work from home otherwise I would be banging that door down lol
