Waitrose Uniform?

I've just been offered a job at Waitrose (yay!) but as a fat short arse, I'm worried about the uniform fitting. Does anyone know if they're quite a generous cut and whether they go up to a 22? I'm really worried a 20 will be too tight. That was the biggest size on the sheet I was given.

Anyone? Pleeeease!

Don't worry, we have all shapes and sizes there. The uniform definitely goes up to bigger sizes, I know this because I'm wearing it right now 😅

I worked there one uniform ago, there was a bloke in xxxl and a woman in a 26. I’m sure it’s still available! Don’t panic. Well done on the job

I work there!! To be honest the uniform is a bit odd shaped but you'll find a size that works. I had to reorder a couple of items! At our store you can wear your own black trousers or skirt as long as you have the shirt and jacket but it might not be like that at all stores. Congrats and good luck! The discount is fab. Plus occasional free flowers and food 😋

Ooh, thank you so much everyone! I am very pleased and excited! I know this sounds silly but am I able to buy a shirt myself as I don't start for another 2.5 weeks and I could have a good try at home and adjust it if necessary. Who is the supplier?

@halfsiesonapotnoodle don't buy one, it's supplied free. Ask if they have any spare used ones to try on. Uniform is returned to store when you leave so they will have some around. My rear is a size 24 and my trousers fit comfortably. They are unisex cut though so will need a belt to stop them sliding off. Or get a skirt.

I work at Waitrose. As a pp said, I'm sure there will be a pile of spare uniform somewhere (there is at my store) so you can possibly try some. I am a 12 and find the uniform pretty true to size (although shirts looser than trousers-maybe that's just me). Send an email to your manager.whoever interviewed you and they should be able to sort it for you. It took a while for my uniform to arrive when I started so I just wore my own clothes for a while and no one really cared so don't stress about it.

Dimensions supply uniform . Yes they go up to 22 . And also do trousers in short leg .

They go bigger than a size 22. There’s a lady that works at the same store as me and she much bigger than a 22 and worked there years.

I would say the uniform comes up big. I was advised to order a size up and I did but everything is big. I almost lose my skirt multiple times a day and my shirt is huge.

I only work on a Saturday morning but enjoy it. If it paid enough I’d work full time.

Sorry should be clear as in I need x amount of money to pay rent and bills and if I worked full time at Waitrose it wouldn’t be enough for me to have anything left over.
