When I started my job 8 months ago, my contract stated I would get 28 days holiday.

The owner has just rewritten everyone's contracts and I am now needed to sign a contract saying I will only get 22 days holiday (to include bank holidays)

So I lose 6 days annual leave.

Technically it is the 22 days I'm entitled to but they offered me the job with 28 days.

Do I have to sign this?

22 days is illegal
Minimum entitlement for full-time is 20 days plus 8 Bank Holidays.

As PP above stated, 28 in total which includes 8 bank hols is a legal requirement

Can you clarify if you are full time or not? as 22 days including bank holidays does not make any sense.

Are you full time? It seems this is an error in the contract, is that what you are saying, you really should just be getting 22?

as you are only there for eight months they can pretty much get rid of you for any reason they want, so I’d be careful.

28 days is the minimum for full time staff. If you are part time you would have pro rata holidays that could be less than 28 days.

As others have stated, the minimum holiday entitlement is 28 days (incl Bank Holidays). Speak to your union

Legal minimum is 5.6 weeks. Can include bank holidays. So how many hours/days do you work each week?

If OP is part time working less than 5 days then she could be entitled to fewer than 28 days. In her OP she implies she's only entitled to 22 days so I infer she is part time
