will i be taxed on this?

I have accepted a job for 8 hours a week being paid pittacnce but first step towards what I want to do now type thing. DH is saying I will not betaxed on it - can anyone advise on this ?

If its any help, my dd1 works weekends whilst in the 6th form at school, she doesn't earn enough to pay tax. I think you can earn about £5k per annum before you pay tax. Hopefully someone will be along soon who knows more!
