Hi, i am wondering if anyone can help.
I finished work on the 18th Feb to start my maternity leave as my LO was due 12th March, he arrived on the 9th March. I am due to go back to work on the 5th September so he will be just under 6 months. I love my job & the people i work with but i am already dreading it, i am doing a few KIT days in May to cover 2 holidays.
I am going to be sending my LO to nursery 2 mornings a week when i go back to work & my mum is going to be having him those afternoons. I want to extend my maternity leave by 5 weeks so I can drop off & collect my LO from nursery for the first few weeks to make sure everything is going okay and to start weaning etc.
I guess i am allowed to extend my leave even though we have discussed return dates. If i can extend my leave, do i need to give them a certain amount of notice to say i wont be back until middle of October?
