I have seen an advert for a job I’d like to apply for. It does however say the following-

We are looking to cover our office hours from 8.45am to 5.30pm and will consider applications from individuals wanting to work full or part-time/job share.

I cannot work beyond 5 pm every night. I can work 5 days 8.45 to 5. Do you think it still worth applying?

Yes!

Apply and discuss it at the interview stage. The recruitment market is so tough at the moment, businesses are bending over backwards to get staff in. They will/should be flexible if they have anything about them. If they’re not, it’ll be a red flag as a whole!

I’m going to disagree - they’ve stated it for a reason. If you apply, please state your parameters on your application so they can decide if it’s worth taking your forward.

Yes, they specifically say they are happy to take part time people.

They may not want you until 5, if they have someone else who wants to work the latter part of the day you could job share. But they wont be able to find someone to work 5 till 5.30 .
Perhaps they would want 845 till lunchtime.
