HELP - Feel like handing in notice - so fed up

I've worked in current job for 15 years.
Work 4 days, since having DD 5 years ago.
Pay & holidays are crap.

I've been really fed up with job for over a year, but things have got bad over last
couple of months. Should have left long time ago, but stuck in a rut.

I've lost all interest. Been making silly errors, but am honestly not that bothered.

Have finally started to look for other jobs, but today I had a particularly nasty run-in with boss and just feel like handing in my notice now.

I might get the sack before I get a chance to resign. Any advise PLEASE.

What kind of job do you do? Do your personal finances allow for taking a break?

As far as I know, they can't just give you the sack after one run in with boss. Unless you've been stealing or similar. what happened?

Try not to hand in your notice before getting another job. Why should you put up with that? Put all your efforts into getting another job, not dealing with the aftermath of resigning.
