NHS HCA Bank training - is it paid?

Just wondering if anyone knows if NHS training for a bank HCA job is paid ? Blooming work coach is on my back wanting to know ? The NHS recruitment has process has taken so long then has been another month waiting for training dates. It's embarrassing having to fob off this work coach as things get delayed again and again.

Not sure if this is the same everywhere

NHSP does not
pay applicants for any mandatory training required to work bank shifts at the trust

Did you find out if it was paid or not?

I’m due to go on the training course in April but not sure if it would be worth it if it’s not as I’d have to pay for childcare for both my children for 2 weeks.

At all the trusts I've worked in I've been paid as a HCA, nurse, midwife- whichever role I've been in.

At my trust it is two weeks unpaid for bank staff which sucks

I’m not sure about bank positions but if you search on the NHS jobs website for band 2 positions, HCA positions will come up and some, not all, will accept applicants without experience and train you up on the job. I applied for about 10 positions with no healthcare experience and got 4 interviews. Good luck!

NHS hca training is paid. NHSP which is bank in our trust the training is not paid. Our actual trust don't have trust members as bank staff
