Am I crazy to leave

Have been working for same company for 6 years. It’s not been the best time of my life particularly over the past 2 years. I have a lot going on (one parent recently died, other terminal cancer with a few weeks left at best). I wanted to leave to get a fresh start after the past crappy 2 years -after all change is as good as a rest. However candidates from company I’ve got the job with are applying for my company. One decided to stay with company I’m going to. Other is in the interview process and referred by someone in new company I’m going to. I have to hand in notice soon. Will get a pay rise in new company but I am not sure what is the best decision. My boss has just recently jumped ship and it’s hard to make changes round here due to company sure. Would be going to a smaller company reporting to one of my former peers who jumped ship. Basically I have no chance of going further but like the fact I still have workers rights.

What worker rights do you have you won't have in your new company?

Presumably the rights you acquire after working at the same company for 2 years?

The other way to look at it is that you owe the new company nothing, so you can go in with an open mind and leave if it's not for you. Sounds like you would even have the chance to come back again :)
