ET1 - New claim

HI

Could someone clarify how this works?

I already have an ET1 logged with the tribunal.
I have a 2nd claim which is still within the 3 month time limit which wasn't included in the ET1

How do I go about adding the 2nd claim. Could it be added into the existing ET1 (or) does it need a separate ET1

Hi Daisy,

As far as I understand it you would need an additional ET1 and to initiate ACAS early conciliation prior to doing so. You can then afterwards ask for the two claims to be linked which the tribunal will do and then ultimately they will be heard together.

E.g. you lodged a discrimination claim, lodged an ET1 but remained employed, a month later you were fired and then had to submit a new ET1 for unfair dismissal.

Key is you have to go through ACAS again as per the first claim!
