Teacher after maternity leave don't want to return but have to work 13 weeks

I do not want to return to after my maternity leave ends. I understand that I would have to pay back omp if I did not return so I plan on working the 13 weeks.
I have read that part of the 13 weeks can be holiday, is this correct? If so I would hope to use 6 weeks of the summer holiday so this would leave me would 7 weeks to work.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
How and when would I go about handing in my notice?

Do you think you can use keep in touch days for this?

Another option is shared parental leave, you can be earning your full salary during the holidays. I would check it out. Can't quite remember if you have to give 4 or 8 weeks notice.

Yes you can use holidays. The when you hand notice in depends on when you want to leave and when your maternity ends. If you want to leave this summer you'd have to put your notice in by 31st May. If you miss that window then you would be able to resign before 31st October to leave at Christmas but this wouldn't help you with using the summer hols as part of your notice.
