Manager is now same level colleague

My manager has recently stepped down from her role and is now at the same level as myself. She loves to gossip.
When she was in the role I was off sick and had a OH report, I'm worried she will gossip about what was on the report as I haven't told any of my colleagues why i was off ill.
I've never been in this situation before as I have never had a manger step down into a same level role and I'm worried about confidentiality.

She should not gossip or tell anyone about your sickness. If you hear anything you report her immediately.

She's still bound by the same rules of confidentiality. If she was going to gossip about you, she'd probably have done it by now - I would hope she'd realise that it would be a job-ending mistake to talk about confidential information.

If she was a good manager and didn't blab confidential information when she was a manager I dont know why you would think she would do that when she steps down.
