Hi daisy, congratulations on the pregnancy!

Have a look at this page as a starting point for information about your rights in terms of maternity leave, pay and other things you need to know.

You can start your maternity leave 11 weeks before your due date but most people work up until about a month-6 weeks before. Difficult to tell how you will feel at this stage though.

Your family sound nice, have a think about how soon you are happy to tell them. They have responsibilities even this early, to do with your health and safety, they must for example do a risk assessment to work out if there is any aspect of your job which could be harmful to you during pregnancy. At this stage you are likely to be very tired a lot of the time and might feel very sick as well, so you may want to let them know sooner rather than later, up to you.

Take it easy, have a read to find out about your rights and if you have any questions do come back.
