Should I go?

I applied for a job and have an interview at the end of this coming week. I didn't think I'd get an interview because they prefer experience but said they would consider someone without it. They also asked for 5 GCSE's including maths and english. I have the English fine but I got a D in Maths. I only stated my good grades on my CV. They asked for evidence if possible but I don't have my certificates anymore anyway as it was nearly 20 years ago since I was at school. I have experience through volunteering. Question is, if they said candidates must have the above should I still attend and if so what do I do when they ask or do I cancel? 🙈 I honestly didn't think I'd get there.

Personally I would still go, you've got nothing to lose and never know maybe you'll get a job out of it!

I would answer any questions honestly though, there's no point lying at interview and then having to try keep up with those lies once you start the job

Good luck if you decide to go! 🤞

If they have requested maths and English, then that's there essential criteria. I'd go but be honest and volunteer to engage with a functional skills course L2 in maths if appointed.

You'll need to get hold of copies of your certificates though.

Is this in a school?
