Starting out in cyber-security

I am interested in retraining in cyber security. I have lots of vocational qualifications that are relevant to my current role, but I don't have a degree and there is no overlap between my current role and cyber-security.

I was looking at the BSc Cyber Security with the Open University, and scored well in the little pre-registration tests. Would this be a good avenue to go down? Any alternative suggestions?

I live in Northern Ireland and my family are well settled here so can't access any of the in-person courses in England etc.

My hubby is a cyber security manager says doing a boot camp and online training along with hack the box exercises can build you up to doing professional qualifications which is as good as a degree. He’s watching the rugby so was a bit distracted….sure someone with 1st hand experience will help you out more

Look at remote apprenticeships. The company my son works for has remote consultants all over the place and does take on and offer apprenticeships. There's a pretty big recruitment push just now so it's a good time to show interest. Good luck!
