I'm looking for work at the moment and applied for a couple of roles via an agency.
In general if you get put through for interview is it right to assume you're probably one of 3-6? That's what I've been told.
And what's the process then. Is it solely down to the employer or a discussion between them. I guess the agency want the right candidate as it reflects on them.
I had an interview a couple of weeks ago. Apparently they interviewed 5. They had a decision date which has passed. Agency has now called me to see how I appraised the interview and asked me a little about salary expectations etc. Said that everyone interviewed well but they'd not made a decision yet and would be next week. Two weeks afterwards.
I'm not hopeful but really confused as to what might actually be going on. Best guess is they've offered it to someone who could be thinking about it. I've interviewed people for many roles (not via an agency) and we always make a decision quickly! But maybe there's some esoteric agency stuff and discussion that I have no knowledge of???
Any insights?
