Would you do this? (Bad boss)

New boss at work. She's trying to make a mark but talks down to us, makes us do unnecessary work as she wants something to focus on, makes mountains out of molehills (leading to the extra work), and doesn't talk to us respectfully. Basically, she doesn't trust us whatsoever.

It's only been 6 weeks but it is unbearable.

Me and another team member feel the same and wondered if we could talk to our old boss, who is still in the team but in another role, about it.

It feels like being a tattle tale but we are both miserable.

I'm also pregnant and wondering if it's worth just keeping quiet, but I hate it. Need to stay for the mat pay.

What would you do?

I think it would reflect badly on you to go about it that way. If you need to address it, be really clear about the issues and raise it with her directly. Depending on how long you've got left before mat eave, I might be inclined to stick it out.

My team leader in the job I've resigned from in the last day, lives to deny anything said! I nearly crashed my car after being lied to last Tuesday when I was told not once but twice during the day alone I'd no claim to an increased salary but wait that conversation never happened!!. I've really never witnessed anything as sick as a company to mess with someone's mental mind and the audacity of trying to claim no conversation. Be careful with 'modern day' management.
