Hello, Does anyone know about this? I am very interested in studying psychotherapy but I wonder how feasible it is for someone who is mid 40s without a background in a related area.
Is it difficult to get a place on a course? Would it be easier if I trained as a counsellor first? There seem to be a few different courses but it's hard to tell which is best. I wonder if there is a forum where people, perhaps trainee therapists, give their opinions on courses/ discuss options? I couldn't seem to find anywhere online to get some inside track and wondered if others might be able to help.
