Looking for some help on redundancy

I’m currently at work and about to go under a redundancy consultation period which will end 25th of the the month. I am going on maternity leave from the 1st March. I will be working during the consultation period but on maternity leave in the selection period. Will this mean I will have my maternity protection rights, such as offered a suitable different role first or as I was at work during consultation does that not apply to me?

If you are in a redeployment pool during your maternity leave you should be offered any suitable alternative role, you should not be expected or required to interview for the role.

What you cannot expect is to be ahead of other people in your own redundancy pool e.g. if they are reducing your team from ten to six people, i.e. making four roles redundant, you do not get priority for being retained ahead of the others in that pool.
