To chase interview?

So I went for an interview today at midday for a part time job in retail. I felt it went really well but she said I'll hear within a week - phone if successful or email if not. My prob now is I hate waiting and it's my bday timo so I'll be out all day having fun and not necessarily with my phone

Would it be totally u reasonable to phone tonight around 6pm (they close at 6.30) asking for feedback and getting a feel to see how I got on? And if so how exactly should I word it? She didn't say if she has other ppl to see or has seen already

Yes it would be unreasonable.

They have a process to follow which is that all candidates must be interviewed before making any offers. Likely, these are spread out over the week which is why she cannot tell you until the timeframe she specified.

There's being keen and then there is causing additional work for someone by chasing too soon and likely putting them off you.

When becomes reasonable to chase is a matter of opinion but I would say not until after the deadline mentioned.

You have to leave it at least a week as that is what has been indicated. You will seem mad if you chase today and it may put them off you.

You can't chase today! They said a week so you need to sit on your hands and wait a week.

Well I did actually phone and I was informed I got the job and start in just over a week.
