Teaching Alternatives

Hi all,

Any advice would be hugely welcome.

I really don't want to put my DD in nursery more than twice a week, it was a long journey to get to her and financially this is doable. No family nearby to look after her so that's not an option.

I had hoped to go back to work two days per week but this has been refused and a minimum of 4 days is required. I don't want to do 4 days a week and I'd really appreciate any advice from teachers who have successfully changed careers to something more flexible/work from home in the evenings or how they have addressed the above.

I will have to pay back maternity pay if I don't return - no idea how that will work.

To say I'm gutted is an understatement and I'm due back in 7 weeks.

Thank you in advance.
