Civil service interview results

Hello, ever time I google question about civil service there’s usually a post on here that comes up. So I thought I’d ask how long after a civil service interview do you usually wait to hear the outcome? I interviewed almost 2 weeks ago and was offered a provisional role by the panel the next day but I’ve still not heard from recruitment about starting the security checks. Would it be fair to assume it’s all good or should I still be looking for new jobs?

I would maybe email your HR contact?
I had the email through about pre employment checks pretty much as soon as I accepted the provisional offer on the portal. Have you accepted it on there?

@User0610134049 no the portal hasn’t been updated yet. I was called by one of the people from the panel after all the interviews had taken place and made a provisional offer, they mentioned that I’d be contacted in a week but that was almost 2 weeks ago. I guess it’ll get going once the portal had been updated. How long did your security checks take?

Mine were pretty quick - 3 weeks

Some of ours took ages last year. I would chase up with HR though because they were incredibly slow to action things

Everything moves at a snail pace with the Civil Service

Even internally, a formal offer from HR just took 2 weeks.

It can take many many many weeks sadly
