Maternity leave

Hi

I'm taking 9 months maternity leave and only have two months left. I'm not thinking of taking longer off I wish I did 12 months from the start, anyhow I cannot even afford to have a extra 3 month off but really not ready to go back as yet, I admit I have had/do have some mild PND. I tried a online calculator to see if we could get any help for me taking 3 months unpaid but we don't as of my husbands income.
I'm thinking of getting a loan which I'm eligible for to cover my 3 month I'd loose at work.
Do you think I would be crazy to do this ?
Just wanted some thoughts of peoples :/

Have you got accrued annual leave you can tack onto the end mat leave so yiu get additional time off, but are paid for it?

Have you used all of your annual leave that you are owed? That would be an extra 4 weeks (at least) at full pay if you didn't take it in 2021. You could also ask to go back on reduced hours and then use your annual leave 3 days per week to stretch it out for example.

Personally wouldn't take a loan as you just have to pay it back, unless you are going back to a very good wage which leaves you with plenty of money spare after bills.
