Offered job but have interview for another job in the same place

Sorry wasn’t sure where to put this. I’m posting on behalf of my daughter.
She’s applied for 2 EA jobs in different departments but within the same place. They’re in the university she did her undergrad & masters in.
One job she had an interview for on Wednesday & has been offered the job. She’s thrilled obviously. However she’s also got an interview for the other one on the 16th & she’d actually prefer the other one. While both are essentially the same job, the second one is a department shes worked in before on a temp basis last year & she loved it & loved the people plus it’s also a permanent position. The one she’s been offered is a contract til September 2024.
She doesn’t want to lose the job offer obviously & if they were in different companies id tell her to just accept it & still interview for the other. Given they’re probably connected she doesn’t want to start a new job on the wrong foot & upset anyone.
She’s also on day 3 of Covid (tested positive an hour before the interview which luckily was online!) so she’s not feeling well & freaking out.
What does she do?

Ask for advice at that end. I'd be inclined to speak to the Job 2 recruiter first. Tell them that's her preferred choice but she doesn't want to lose Job 1 and upset anyone.

It's totally understandable to want the permanent job with the team she already knows.

Say nothing.

Attend second interview.

If offered 2nd job. Tell 1st job.

I worked in HE. This happens all the time.

This has happened to me - I attended both and was offered and accepted one and I think that's fine to do
