Doctorate reject- come and tell me tales of hope

Just got the email that I've been rejected from the professional (funded) doctoral course that I spent a lot of money getting a masters to try to get on (and had heaps of experience etc etc). This was my post-kids career plan and now it's down the drain.

Please tell me your cloud-silver-lining after rejection tales to make me feel like all is not lost.

If it’s to become an EP - please don’t be disheartened! So many of my cohort had tried more than once to get on the course. I know it’s so hard but do keep trying, it isn’t down the drain. Ask for some feedback on your application from the universities? Flowers

So is there only one relevant funding body / organisation you can apply to?

Will you be able to get any feedback on why you weren’t successful? Pressure of numbers or something that needed improvement in your proposal?

It’s a shame but there will be a way forward.
