Changes to job role

I'm just looking for some guideance on whether or not I should be offered redundancy in this scenario. I change jobs about 12 months ago and it was a promotion. My employer now wants me to incorporate some of my old role and I'm not happy with this. It's the initial stages but I wondered if they could alter my role or would I be eligible for redundancy in this scenario?

How would your role be made redundant?

The change in the job description makes it a different role. To be clear this would be a significant change to my role. I wouldnt have applied for my current job had the proposed job description have been in place.

This doesn’t sound like your current role is redundant, no.

Redundancy is where a job no longer needs doing. This is not the case in your scenario.
