Help me with my A/L entitlement please

Hi all,

My employer offers 30 A/L plus B/H.

I work 20 hours a week over 5 days, so 4 hours a day, so I am aware I will have a pro rata entitlement.

I am trying to use the GOV uk a/l calculator but want to make sure I am doing it correctly. When working out in days with the information given so far, should I put 5 in number of days worked because it’s Monday- Friday or 2.5 because my half days equate to that? Which way is correct?

I mean the latter, but we get more than the statutory minimum, so it doesn't end up with you being under the statutory minimum so I concluded it was permitted? Would be interested to find if it isn't though.
I think it is permitted, if the statutory minimum is always observed. It's slightly arbitrary because someone who starts close to the beginning of a month will be short-changed on Leave slightly more than someone whose start date is towards the end of a month so it's not exactly fair, but the overall effect is that new-starters get slightly less generous additional leave than everyone else, and employers have every right to give more leave to their longer-employed staff so it's probably ok. If i was a manager in such a company I would ensure I stood up for the best interests of my team by ensuring they always had a start date late enough in a month to minimise the amount of leave lost.
