I have an interview next week at a school and would really appreciate some help understanding the pay.

It's 28hrs/wk, term time +2wks.

How do I work out the salary? I only have the FTE salary.

Many thanks 🙂

I am not an expert but:

Term time only is 39 weeks.
Term time plus 2 is 41 weeks plus 5.6 weeks statutory paid holiday.
So you're paid for 46.6 out of 52.15 weeks of the year, or 0.89.

If full time hours are 37.5 a week, then you work roughly 0.75 of the full working week

So I would say FTE0.890.75

Someone else more expert may come along to correct me.

It would be perfectly fine to email the school and ask. They know it's complicated.

You need to know the full time hours.

Vikings explanation makes sense

Also I would add that whatever the number is it is divided up equally over the 12 months so you are paid something every month.
