Help! Can’t work out the salary!

It’s a job in a school with a salary of £13900 p/a
It’s 32.5 hrs a week
33 weeks a year
They say it comes with 8 weeks holiday
How much is that an hour
They say it’s just under £10 an hr but I’m not so sure!
I can’t work it out 🙈
Can anyway help?!?!

So do you get paid for 33+8 weeks = 41 weeks..?
13900 / 41 weeks is 339 per week. Divided by 32.5 hours is 10.43 per hour.

Which doesn't match what they've said.

Ask them to clarify how they have calculated it.

Thanks for that. That does make more sense. I’ll double check the exact weeks I’d work and holiday provided but at least I have a clearer understanding of how they calculated it. My figure was way off 😆
