My employer is a national employer (charity). They are offering apprenticeships to English based staff using government funding. I'm in Scotland. They say I'm not eligible and the apprenticeship in question is not available in Scotland nor eligible for any Scottish government funding it seems. It is something I've always wanted to get qualified in but its £3000 if not an apprenticeship, which I can't really afford. As they are a charity, they won't pay for the training themselves, only if it is government funded, so what funding could I get to help me do the course myself (non apprenticeship option)? Its a course that would really help my job too.
