What qualifications can I get for nursery jobs

Hi all, first post here.
I'm currently running a school kitchen but it's not my dream, I don't know what my dream is but the highlight of my day is when the reception kids come to get their lunch and tell me all about their day so I'm leaning towards a nursery job. I need short hours for the next couple of years so to prepare for when my kids are older what qualifications would be good to get under my belt?
Thanks Smile

First things first, decided on the age range you’re interested in working with.
If it’s nursery, you need to look at Early Years qualifications.
If it’s older age range (5+), look at the Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications.
As you’re already in a school you have an advantage: can you do some additional hours in the early years / 5+ provision? If so, you can use those hours as a ‘placement’, if your employer agrees, while studying via an online college. Make sure they’re legit. U.K Open College is a good option.
