School Hours FWR

Hi

I am just trying to plan for when my DS starts school. Realistically, what hours do people work around school drop off/pick up? I know it will vary on sole factors and things like breakfast club etc, but keen to see people’s current working arrangements.

Thanks

I have always done DT (plus a bit) hours.

Dd went to Creche near my office and did the commute with me before starting school.

Her school started at 8:30am and dh would drop her, and she went to after school club until 6:30pm (I was usually there between 5:30-6) for primary school. We had an au pair for 4 years while Dh spent 50% of his time abroad, AP dropped to school so I could still leave on time and also collected between 4:30-5pm twice a week to let dd have a couple of shorter days.

So I was in the office by 8am and left roughly 5pm to catch my train, and tended to do a bit more at home in the evenings after dd was in bed if it was needed (which was relatively frequently).

Sorry, I've always done FT plus a bit... not DT

@BiddyPop that’s very interesting, thank you! I would be happy to put DC in after school club maybe as he gets older.

I do 9.15am-2pm, 3 days a week.

Full time - no difference between him being at nursery or school.
Breakfast clubs and after school clubs, 4 days a week, 1 day DH is work free, (he is full time flexi).
DD starts school in 2 years time, I plan to be full time flexi then with a diff work free day to Hubbie, so therefore only three days of breakfast and after school club are required for both kids.
My days at the moment are 7am- 4pm
