If you're selected for an interview, how long after the closing date is normal to hear from the company?
Understand this can vary hugely, but just looking for anyones experiences please!

Well you appreciate it varies hugely so already know this is a how long is a piece of string question. In my experience, I have been contacted before the closing date and I have also been contacted some months afterwards.

I'd assume I hadn't been selected for interview if I hadn't heard within 2 weeks.

The quickest I had was the same day, the longest I had was 2 months. The same day company is the smallest firm I've ever worked for. The 2 months is the largest firm I've ever worked for. Don't think this is a coincidence. The larger the organisation the more hoops and layers of management to jump through.

The waiting part is horrible, especially when you really want the job. Just have to wait it out until the 2 weeks and hope I'll get shortlisted 🤞🏼
