I have an interview and wondering what sort of things they will ask. I am already in Early years with many years of experience.
Thanks!

Is it your own setting or a different one?

I'd expect a good knowledge of EYFS and all the recent changes to Development Matters etc.
I'd expect you to be asked about Safeguarding
I'd expect you to be asked about difficult conversations with families
I'd expect you to be asked about SEND.

Presumably, as a newly appointed Deputy Manager they wouldn't yet expect you to have as much knowledge about things like Safer Recruitment or conducting supervisions yet, but I suppose it depends on the candidates they have applying.

I’ve just had 2 interviews for deputy manager this week
I got the second one
They asked me about safeguarding, send, multi disciplinary working, my leadership style, relationships with parents, what I know about the key person system, changes to the EYFS, what I would do if a child wasn’t collected, how I would communicate with the team, how I would deal with conflict in the team, what I consider to be my skills and what I would like further training in
I made sure I gave specific examples of how I had experience of each question
Good luck!
