Work accommodations for mental health

Has anyone got experience with asking for accommodations for long term mental health problems?
I've been able to get by in past jobs without ever disclosing my mental health problems (around 10 years now). But recently I've been struggling with sleep, lack of concentration, no motivation and low mood. Usually it goes away but it's been building up for a while now. I'm in a good job and don't want to mess it up.
I don't even know what accommodations could be made, perhaps shorter work days or shorter work week.
I'm salaried but only just above min wage so can't really afford to lose any pay over this either.
I'm in public sector if that makes a difference.

Apply for flexible working, bank some hours to be able to leave an hour or 2 early each day?
If there's a quiet room, you'll be able to go there for a little bit?
Speak to your dr get a fit note in order to recharge your batteries or ask for occupational health to have a look.
Does your company have an EAP? this can include free counselling.

Are you having therapy op? Many workplaces have a counselling service they can put you in touch with.

Or ask to be referred to occupational health?

I doubt they'd let you work less hours for the same wage I'm afraid.
