Just a bit of advice please.
So I had to take 5 days off work due to breaking my rib.
I don't get sick pay from work only ssp.
I know you have to stand to your first 3 days then 2 days of ssp.

Looking at my wage slip this morning I have received ssp for 2 days but work have also took the full 5 days off me.
Is this correct? My understanding is I thought they would just take 3 days not all 5!

You will be unpaid for 1st 3 days and then instead of full pay you get SSP for 2 days - so they deduct 5 days full pay and give you back 2 days SSP

You don’t get normal Pay and ssp it’s instead of your normal pay. So 2 days on low rate which I know is rubbish. But you have been off for 5 so that’s what they deduct
