Hello,
I am a teacher with 10 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language and Spanish. I am currently in the public system and want a complete career change. I have worked until 10pm pretty much every night this week on data, assessments, planning and marking books because I have almost no free time at school. I am always in meetings or teaching and the behavior of the pupils is so draining. Staff are supportive but nothing they can do as it is mostly apathy and negativity towards my subject.
I want to start working towards my goal of becoming a speech and language therapist by gaining experience in a healthcare roll like a HCA. Care homes seem the most likely to take on someone with no experience but my mum has warned me off them due to her past experiences. Which healthcare jobs would be willing to take on a career changer and train them up from scratch?
