Does anyone know if there is a way of updating a LinkedIn profile without it running off and trumpeting the update all over the place? I need to amend something, but would rather not bother if it it then results in all and sundry being invited to “congratulate” me on it

I think you can untick a box that says “notify connections” (or smtgh like that) before you submit the changes.

You can change your settings so it doesn't notify your network.

Ok, thanks - will go and have another look

Pretty sure it asks if you want to share it to your network when you make the actual change.
