Hi, I'm starting a new job as an NHS ward clerk (part time) can anyone give me some advice or a bit of insight into what might happen at work? I've been a SAHM for a long time and I'm really nervous x

Ward clerks are generally responsible for the admin side of the ward, you'll input patients being admitted and discharged on the computer. You'll generally be the person that answers the phone so will deal with relatives and other departments calling the ward. You'll work closely with nursing staff and other ward staff to ensure the smooth running of the ward

Just found this thread. I accepted a job as a part time ward clerk on post natal ward yesterday too. How are you all finding the role?
