Prince2 - Funding?

Looking in to completing the Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner courses exams but I am really struggling to figure out how I would finance it.

I am currently working in IT Project Support so I feel these qualifications, which I will have time to complete on Maternity Leave before baby gets here, will help me get promoted once my experience level hits 2 years. I have the book already so I can sit and work my way through it and just take the exams when I am ready.

The exams are only about 250 each (So would be 500 for both Foundation and Practitioner) but if I could get any kind of funding for them it would take the pressure off. I've looked into grants but the only ones I can find for professional development are for people who already have the qualifications which makes zero sense to me Hmm

Is there anything out there or am I looking at self funding?

Ask your employer as it’s a professional qualification, go on the Prince2 website as a way of backing up why you think you should do the course and why they should find it. You never know they may say yes and save you a fortune
