WFH job suggestions (admin)

Looking to start working again next year after 4 years as SAHP. However I really want a post where I can work from home, part time.

I have an admin background and worked in the mental health field for a few years. I’d probably look to brush up on my admin skills but I’m just looking for ideas in terms of jobs.
I’ve looked and seen a few admin/telephone/data entry remote working jobs advertised.

Keen to here if you WFH in administration role, do you fit it around school drop off/pick up quite easily?

I do I work 4 days. This September she has moved to secondary school but previously I used Breakfast club and Afterschool club. It’s difficult as you can’t really disappear for pick ups if your needed to complete a task. Whether you can find PT around school run?

@Cantthinkofaname21, can I ask what your job is that you do?

Yes, I was thinking about Breakfast and After school clubs. Ideally if I could get a job working 9.30-2.30, that would suit us all round. Just not sure how many of these types of jobs are available.

@Workingfromhome076 I work in IT admin support. I initially got a FT role when the kids where at nursery build up a trust and then when they went to school dropped my hours - used Breakfast club so I could start at 8 and finish at 2:30 for primary pickups (4 days a week) I used Afterschool club once a week as I did one ft day a week so I could be available. Now they at secondary I’ve upped it to 8-4:30 4 days a week.
Annoyingly I think it’s easier to request PT once in a role - I did have to provide how I could do it etc in my request. It was difficult as people do put meetings in at 3 etc so I’m lucky mine can get to and from school now by themselves. Also by finishing at 4:30 I can pick them up in winter for any afterschool clubs.

A few Mums recently retuning to work have got jobs in doctor’s surgery- a couple job share. But it isn’t WFH type jobs but it means they could do pick ups etc

@Cantthinkofaname21, I did look at a few local GP surgery posts and would consider these if I really can’t get something ideally from home.

I’m also thinking maybe something like data entry also.
Thanks for your replies they’ve been very helpful. Smile
