Switching to another NHS trust while pregnant

Hi I have a question for those who work within the NHS who may have been through this or just know!

I’m currently 3 months pregnant with my second, I’ve worked at my current trust for 6 years so entitled to SMP and OMP and currently working one of my qualifying months for AWE (they are December and January payslips).

A job I have wanted for ages has just gone out, but it’s with a different trust. If I were to apply and be successful, how would this effect my mat pay/entitlement if I aren’t leaving the NHS and still have that continuous service? Are the mat calculators the same and if I obviously start working after my qualifying months then does it go on what I worked at my previous trust?

I hope this makes sense!

Thank you Smile

I think SMP gets replaced with maternity allowance but it should all add up the same. I moved trusts in early pregnancy with my first then returned to work at a different trust again - joys of 6 month SHO jobs at the time. That was obviously a while ago but I don't think the system has altered. Good luck with the application.
