au pair share

dd1 is starting morning nursery in january but will continue to be at her usual nursery in the afternoons so that i can continue to work.

does anybody have any experience of au pair sharing as we think this might be the answer to how to get her from school to nursey at lunchtime on the 3 days a week i don't work. she doesnt need a nanny and we don't have family who could help out locally.

could we have a live-in au pair and share her out the days we don't work? how much do we pay her given we would be putting her up? has anybody done that or the other way around?

nobody we talk to seems to have come across this - can someone help?

thanks

Never heard of it Lucy but would be interested to see if and how it works out. Which area of the country are you in?

north london, whereabouts are you?

Kent, so much too far away to go halves with you!

It sounds like something that would be ideal for someone who has their child in daycare or at school, but just needs maybe one or two hours a day extra childcare.
