So.. I have been working at the same place for the last 4 years. My contracted hours are 12-4. I put in a flexible work form around 6-12 months ago due to my family have to work round picking my child up from school until I get home (which makes me feel absolutely awful ). They then said that I could do 9:30-1:30 temporarily (they didnt give me a date of when I would have to go back to my original shift). I have been off quite abit in this past month due to having to isolate and my son not been well. I received an email from HR stating my manager wants a meeting with my to discuss my hours so I have a feeling I will be asked to go to my 12-4 shift again. I REEEALLY don't want to do that I don't want my family to have to rearrange there work patterns or using there annual leave is there anything I can do. TIA x

Best advice is to speak to ACAS.

Lots of questions such as what’s explicitly on writing, how long does it take for temporary to be superseded as custom and practice etc.

Keep everything in writing - even if it’s a phone call, follow up with a quick email just to summarise discussion.

But ACAS are free and will help ☺️ Good luck

Thank you for replying. Well the meeting I had with HR and the flexi form was documented but it was my manager who pulled me to one side and said that I could do the shift change there was no meetings or anything. Thank you again.
