NHS - part time

I'm looking at applying for an NHS admin job.

I only want to work part time.

The job advert states "would consider job share".

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but what does that actually mean? If they like me, they have to find someone else to do the other half of the job?

In my nhs organisation Op we would consider your part time hours without you having to find someone to job share with. More work for the recruiters as this usually means going out again find someone else to do the remaining hours but it's your right.

I’m NHS part-time admin and work in a team of part-timers. Yes it sounds as if someone else would share the job with you but would also consider full-time.

And yes their responsibility to find the other person, definitely not yours!

It makes me wonder why they would do a job share, it means twice as much work recruiting 2 people rather than just finding one full timer.

It's generally no more work to recruit 2 people than it is one

Ok. Thanks for the help.
