But don't work in schools, how does are your holidays arranged? Do you still take them over the 39 weeks you're at work, or do they make up some of the 13 weeks you aren't working?

I am thinking of asking to change from 3 days per week to 4 days a week term time. Just trying to get it all straight in my head before I approach my employer.

Only during the 13 weeks (iirc it works put that 2-3 non working weeks are paid). Time off during "terms" is worked back by swapping days/hours or TOIL. Salary is paid over 12 months.

Yes, holiday only taken in the 13 weeks off. Paid for 39 weeks plus 5 weeks holiday, so 44 weeks in total which is split evenly over the 12 months.

If I need a day off during the 39 weeks I'm working then I can toil it by working extra another time. But generally no holidays during term time, only occasional days off for important things.

I lost my annual leave allowance. Still allowed TOIL or flex leave.

Salary spread over 12 months.
